Service Description
Baseline Zero Foundations of Pistol Performance Baseline Zero is the entry point into Richardson Precision training. This one-day course establishes the minimum performance standard expected of shooters who want to train beyond casual instruction. The focus is not tactics, tricks, or round count—it’s building repeatable fundamentals that hold up under pressure and support future performance. Most shooters have practiced fundamentals. Very few have verified them. Baseline Zero exists to identify gaps, correct inefficiencies, and establish a clear baseline you can build on. ⸻ Course Purpose This course is designed to: • Establish consistent grip, trigger, and visual discipline • Eliminate habits that limit speed and accuracy later • Build a technical foundation that supports higher-level performance • Prepare students for Richardson Precision standards and performance courses This class sets the floor, not the ceiling. ⸻ Training Focus Instruction centers on fundamentals that directly affect real performance: • Grip mechanics that control recoil, not just feel good • Trigger control that survives increased speed • Visual discipline and acceptable sight confirmation • Safe, efficient gun handling • Foundational draw and accuracy work Every drill is intentional. Every correction is tied to future performance. ⸻ Who This Course Is For • New shooters who want to start correctly • Intermediate shooters with inconsistent results • Students planning to attend Richardson Precision performance or standards courses • Shooters who want objective feedback instead of guesswork ⸻ Who This Course Is NOT For • Shooters looking for a casual range day • Students unwilling to be coached or corrected • Those seeking tactics, scenarios, or competition-focused instruction This course is about technical competence, not entertainment. ⸻ How This Course Fits the Training Pathway Baseline Zero is the recommended (and in some cases required) prerequisite for advanced Richardson Precision courses, including: • Cold Standards: One-Day Pistol Accountability • Defensive application courses • Advanced and performance-focused pistol programs This course ensures students arrive at higher-level training with a common foundation and clear expectations.
