Defensive Handgun Level 2 Real-World Application & Performance Under Pressure Defensive Handgun Level 2 is a one-day course designed for students who have completed Level 1 or already possess solid handgun fundamentals and are ready to apply those skills in more dynamic, real-world conditions. This course focuses on movement, positional shooting, distance engagement, and decision-making under pressure. Students will build the ability to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and control while operating in increasingly complex and realistic scenarios. Training is designed to bridge the gap between foundational handgun skills and real-world application by introducing controlled stress, time pressure, and problem-solving elements. This is not a competition course. The focus is practical performance, accountability, and applying fundamentals in motion and under stress. ⸻ Topics Covered * Movement while engaging targets (forward, backward, and lateral) * Shooting from multiple positions and improvised cover * Target transitions and visual processing speed * 25-yard accuracy and real-world distance performance * Reloading under movement and pressure * One-handed and reduced-capability shooting * Performance under time constraints * High heart-rate integration drill combining movement, accuracy, and weapon handling * Decision-making and problem solving under stress ⸻ Training Focus Students will learn how to apply foundational handgun skills in environments that demand: * Controlled speed * Efficient movement * Consistent accuracy * Cognitive processing under pressure ⸻ Who This Course Is For * Students who have completed Defensive Handgun Level 1 or equivalent * Concealed carriers seeking more real-world capability * Intermediate/ Advanced shooters looking to improve performance under pressure * Competitive shooters seeking practical, defensive-oriented application work ⸻ Required Gear * Reliable handgun * Strong side holster (Kydex only) OWB is recommended * Minimum 3 magazines * Magazine carriers recommended * Eye and ear protection * 500–600 rounds of ammunition * Concealment garment recommended (optional but encouraged) ⸻ Prerequisites Students should have safe handgun handling skills and be comfortable with basic manipulation such as drawing, reloading, and controlled target engagement. Completion of Level 1 or equivalent experience is strongly recommended.
